Resolving Common Text Correction Hurdles
⚠️ Cannot Access My Duden Mentor Account
Cause: You might have entered incorrect login credentials, forgotten your password, or your account may not be fully registered.
Solution: If you cannot log in, look for the "Passwort vergessen?" (Forgot password?) link on the login page to reset your password via email. If you are a new user, ensure you have completed the registration process using the "Jetzt registrieren" (Register now) option. Always double-check your email and password for accuracy.
⚠️ Browser or Word Add-in is Not Functioning
Cause: The add-in might not be installed correctly, could be incompatible with your software version, or is being blocked by browser/Word settings. An internet connection is also crucial.
Solution: For browser add-ins, confirm it's enabled in your browser's extensions management. For the Word add-in, verify your Microsoft Word version (2019+ for full features, 2013+ for basic functions) and ensure the add-in is activated. If issues persist, consider reinstalling the add-in. Remember, an active internet connection is always required for the digital portal to operate.
⚠️ Limited Text Check or Missing Features
Cause: You may have exceeded the character limit for the free version, or you are not logged into an active premium account.
Solution: The free version of Duden Mentor has a character restriction (500 characters without an account). To process longer texts or access premium functionalities like style suggestions and the personal dictionary, make sure you have an active premium subscription and are successfully logged into your online account.
