Fortifying Your Metin2 Account Against Threats
- 🔒 Create Strong, Unique Passwords: Use long, complex passwords that combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Avoid using the same password across multiple online services.
- 🔒 Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Activate 2FA, often available through the Gameforge Authenticator app, to add an extra layer of security to your account. This prevents unauthorized access even if your password is stolen.
- 🔒 Never Share Account Details: Your login information is personal. Do not share your password or any account details with anyone, including friends, in-game contacts, or individuals claiming to be support staff. Official support will never ask for your password.
- 🔒 Regularly Update Your Password: Change your password periodically, ideally at least once a month, to enhance your account's protection against potential breaches.
- 🔒 Utilize Account Lock Systems: Some Metin2 services (like Metin2 SG) offer a 'Lock&Ready' system to temporarily lock your account when you plan to be inactive, preventing unauthorized access. Activate it via the official website if available for your server.
- 🔒 Be Wary of Phishing Attempts: Always ensure you are on the official Gameforge Metin2 website before entering your login credentials. Be suspicious of emails or links requesting your account information.
