What to Do When Mature Content is Unavailable
⚠️ Adult content is not visible or accessible.
Cause: Your account settings might not be configured correctly, or you may not be logged in as an 18+ user.
Solution: First, ensure you are logged into your Newgrounds account. Then, check your user settings to confirm your birthdate is configured and that the 'Adult filter' is enabled. If you are in the UK, recent regulatory changes may require additional age verification.
⚠️ Encountering 'Restricted Content' messages.
Cause: This typically means you are either not logged in, under 18, or your account does not have adult content viewing enabled.
Solution: Verify you are logged in to your account and that your age is confirmed as 18 or older. Navigate to your settings to enable adult content viewing options. If you're not logged in, content will appear restricted.
⚠️ Issues with age verification.
Cause: In some regions, like the UK, new regulations may enforce stricter age verification protocols, potentially requiring additional steps.
Solution: While Newgrounds strives to be accessible, regional laws can impact content access. If you face persistent age verification issues, consult the Newgrounds 'Contact Us' page for support, as some situations may be related to specific regulatory compliance.
