Exploring the vast underwater world of Subnautica often leads players to the imposing wreck of the Aurora, a massive spaceship holding many secrets and valuable resources. Among its numerous damaged sections are locked compartments, each requiring a specific access code to reveal its contents. Understanding these codes is crucial for any survivor looking to progress and gather essential equipment. This guide focuses on Cabin 1, one of these intriguing locked areas, providing you with the exact code and insights into its hidden rewards.
Preparing for Your Aurora Exploration
- To access Cabin 1, you must first be able to reach and navigate portions of the Aurora wreckage. This typically requires having a Radiation Suit to protect against the ship's radiation and a Repair Tool to fix internal breaches that may block your path.
- A Laser Cutter is also frequently needed to open certain sealed doors within the Aurora, although it is not directly required for the Cabin 1 door itself, it is necessary for gaining access to the general area where Cabin 1 is located.
Accessing Cabin 1: The Key to Entry
- Navigate to the Aurora's Living Quarters section. This area is usually found after progressing through various parts of the ship, often near the Prawn Suit bay.
- Locate the door labeled Cabin 1. It is one of several cabins in the living quarters.
- Approach the keypad next to the Cabin 1 door.
- Enter the code 1869. This is the correct code for Cabin 1.
- Once the code is entered correctly, the door will unlock, granting you access to the cabin. The door will remain unlocked for the remainder of your playthrough.
Treasures Within Cabin 1's Walls
- Inside Cabin 1, players can discover several notable items that aid in their survival and exploration. These include a Blue Cap, an Arcade Gorge Toy, and a valuable PDA log.
- The PDA log often contains lore or clues that deepen your understanding of the Aurora's fate and the world of 4546B, offering critical data.
Overcoming Aurora Access Challenges
⚠️ The door remains locked after entering the code.
Cause: You might be at the wrong door, or the game may not have registered the input correctly.
Solution: Double-check that you are indeed at Cabin 1 in the Aurora's Living Quarters. Re-enter the code 1869 carefully. If the issue persists, ensure your game is updated to the latest version. Occasionally, a game restart can resolve minor glitches. While the code is typically found on a PDA in the Locker Room, finding the PDA is not strictly required to *use* the code, only to discover it organically in-game.
⚠️ Cannot find Cabin 1's location on the Aurora.
Cause: The Aurora is a large, complex wreck with many confusing corridors.
Solution: Cabin 1 is located in the Living Quarters section of the Aurora. Many players find this area after navigating through the Prawn Suit bay. Look for signage or consult in-game maps if available. Remember to bring a Seaglide for faster movement and better visibility within the ship.
