Account Access Challenges? Solutions for Webtoon Users
⚠️ Forgot Password (Email Account)
Cause: You cannot recall the password for your email-based WEBTOON account.
Solution: Click 'Forgot Password?' on the login screen. Enter your registered email address and click 'Send'. Follow the instructions in the recovery email. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or ensure webtoons.com is not blocked in your email settings.
⚠️ Forgot Password (Social Media Account)
Cause: You logged in via a social media account and forgot its password.
Solution: WEBTOON does not manage social media account passwords. You must reset or change your password directly on the respective social media platform (e.g., Facebook, Google, LINE).
⚠️ Cannot log in with social media account
Cause: Issues authorizing permissions or using a different login method than initially registered.
Solution: Ensure you are logged into your social media account and have authorized permissions for the WEBTOON app. Confirm you are using the exact social media account you used for original registration, as different platforms (e.g., Google vs. Facebook) create separate WEBTOON accounts.
⚠️ Email says 'not registered' or account not found
Cause: Incorrect email address, case sensitivity issues, or a different original registration method.
Solution: Verify the email address is correct and matches the exact case used during registration, as WEBTOON email logins are case-sensitive. If you originally signed up with a social media account, try logging in using that method instead.
⚠️ Auto-login disabled / Cannot remember account
Cause: The automatic login feature has stopped working, and you can't recall your account details.
Solution: If you're unable to regain access, please contact the WEBTOON Community Support team. They can assist in investigating the issue.

Yes, the WEBTOON app is free to download and use. Many WEBTOON Original series are free to read, with new episodes released weekly. You can also access millions of episodes without charge. For early access to new chapters, you can use Fast Pass with Coins, or Ad Pass on some series, which lets you watch ads to unlock episodes.
Q: How do I reset my WEBTOON password if I forgot it?
If you signed up with an email, click 'Forgot Password?' on the login screen, enter your email, and follow the instructions in the recovery email. If you used a social media account (like Google or Facebook), you must reset your password directly on that social media platform, not on WEBTOON. Remember to check your spam folder for recovery emails.
Q: How can I delete my WEBTOON account?
You can delete your account from the WEBTOON app or web interface. In the app, go to the 'More' tab, then 'Settings', select 'Account', and click 'Delete Account'. On desktop or mobile web, go to the 'Account' menu after logging in and find the 'Delete Account' option. Be aware that deleting your account is permanent and will remove your profile, subscription history, and access to all unlocked digital content.
Q: What is WEBTOON Canvas?
WEBTOON Canvas is the platform's self-publishing section where independent creators can upload and manage their own webcomics. It allows artists to share their stories with a global audience and build a community, distinct from WEBTOON Originals, which are stories developed with WEBTOON's editorial staff.
Q: How do I fix login issues with my social media account on WEBTOON?
First, ensure you're logged into the correct social media account and have granted necessary permissions to the WEBTOON app. Remember that WEBTOON treats logins from different social media platforms, and even email logins, as distinct accounts. Make sure you're attempting to sign in using the exact method you originally registered with. If problems persist, contact Community Support.
