Smooth Sailing: Overcoming Online Bridge Challenges
⚠️ Cannot Access MyACBL Account or Forgot Password
Cause: You may have forgotten your password or entered incorrect credentials.
Solution: If you're experiencing difficulty accessing your personal MyACBL dashboard, first try using the 'Forgot Password' link available on the login page. This process typically involves entering your registered email address to receive instructions for resetting your password. If issues persist, contact ACBL membership support for assistance.
⚠️ Masterpoints Not Appearing on My Record
Cause: Your ACBL member number might not be correctly linked to your online playing account (e.g., BBO).
Solution: We know how important your masterpoints are! If your earned masterpoints are not reflecting in your official record, ensure your ACBL member number is correctly linked within the specific online platform you used (e.g., in your BBO profile settings). For 'The Real Deal' on RealBridge, confirm you clicked 'Continue with ACBL' during login. If the problem continues, gather game details and reach out to ACBL support for reconciliation.
⚠️ Technical Glitches During Online Play (RealBridge)
Cause: Connectivity issues, browser problems, or platform-specific mechanical errors.
Solution: It can be frustrating when technology interrupts your game. If you encounter mechanical issues or disconnections during a RealBridge session, remember that live ACBL Directors are available to 'visit' your table virtually to help resolve the situation swiftly. Ensure your browser is up-to-date and your internet connection is stable.
⚠️ Issues with Club Game Uploads or Scoring (ACBLscore/Bridgemate)
Cause: Software incompatibility, particularly with Windows updates.
Solution: If your club is encountering difficulties with ACBLscore or Bridgemate communication, especially on Windows 11, it might be due to recent system updates. ACBL recommends installing and running the ACBLmedic utility, specifically designed to address these compatibility challenges. If you reinstall ACBLscore, remember to re-run the Medic.
Fortifying Your ACBL Online Bridge Presence
- 🔒 Utilize Strong, Unique Passwords: Create complex passwords for your MyACBL account and any linked online bridge platforms. Avoid reusing passwords across different digital portals.
